For a brief shining moment, WPLN, Nashville Public Radio, has two guitar stories on its front page. One is by my pal Andy Scheinman about a harp guitarist named Tom Shinness. The other is by me about Nashville guitar player Kenny Vaughan, currently of Marty Stuart's Fabulous Superlatives. Last Fall Vaughan won the Americana Music Association's Instrumentalist of the Year award, and he's blown my mind on stage after stage with the likes of Lucinda Williams, Greg Garing, Rodney Crowell and Kim Richey. I have an hour-long, broadcast quality interview with Kenny that I can post in the next couple of days if there's any interest. He's a great storyteller besides being a really amazing guitarist. Click HERE to stream the Vaughan story.

Haven't heard harp guitar anytime lately.
What on earth is Andy doing now? I hope we'll see another album from him before too long. He's missed at Bongo.
