New fly-on-the-wall video from String Theory Media is up on the web thanks to the cooperation of Sugar Hill Records and mandolin marvel Chris Thile. His How to Grow A Band, featuring Gabe Witcher (fiddle), Noam Pikelney (banjo), Chris Eldridge (guitar), and Greg Garrison (bass) visited Nashville this fall, and STM was given access to sound check and all the bluegrass rock star activity before the show. VIDEO ONE is a montage of scenes set to the instrumental "Watch 'at Breakdown" off the new album "How To Grow A Woman From The Ground." VIDEO TWO is a live rehearsal pass through the wonderful tune Cazadero in the dressing room minutes before showtime. Those who know the band will notice that Bryan Sutton is sitting in for Eldridge on guitar, even though Eldridge is seen hanging out in the dressing room. Explanation: Eldridge was slated for another gig that day with his other fantastic band, The Infamous Stringdusters (a must see). Thile brought Sutton in. Then the 'dusters gig was cancelled and Eldridge decided to come hang out anyway.
Thanks so much to the band, crew and the label for the chance to get so close to such amazing players. It's what we live for.
